Our family is complete ❤️ I am so happy to have her here. Slightly bittersweet as I will never experience pregnancy or birth again. Im glad I got to experience all this one last time. Especially having the Unmedicated birth I had hoped for, honestly it was such an amazing experience 💕

Little Life Update (Sorry long read)

Monday March 31st: went for IV Iron and ended up having my vision go blurry, my BP was nearly impossible to get as it had bottomed out pretty good. Got sent to L&D where I was tested for pre term labor with a swab as I was also getting contractions. Test came back positive (this means I have a higher chance of having a pre term baby than the run of the mill pregnancy) Got the first of 2 steroid shots for baby's health.

Tuesday April 1st: went in for my second steroid shot at 530pm. Had been experiencing back labor pains for most of the day on and off. So they monitored me for a bit and realized I was having actual contractions and starting to dilate. So medication to stop the contractions to ensure that baby stayed in for the 24hrs for the second dose to help baby even more. Struggled till about 430am Wednesday morning to get them to slow down without brining my BP too low.

Wednesday April 2nd: By 6pm it was safer to have baby if my body and the baby decided it was time. My contractions had thankfully slowed down by this point.

Thursday April 3rd: I slept most of the night and when I got up for vital checks at 630am my contractions had for the most part, disappeared. Monitored baby for a few hours to make sure baby was doing well and had a cervical check and my cervix decided to close back up enough that they allowed me to come home on a fairly strict rest routine.

So far Baby and I are doing good at home hoping to keep baby in longer to develop more so then hopefully less of a NICU stay, but thankfully we get to stay at our hospital for that which is so nice. According to my app I'm 33weeks +1 day today. We are going off the date that the ultrasound from the 19th puts baby at for size and I'm just 32 weeks and 3 days right now. Let's hope to make it to minimum of 34 weeks!!

I wanna be where the people are......
Turns out all the people are at university, or so it feels like it. Everywhere I went on campus today was line-ups of people, people in wrong classrooms, and people rushing from one class to the next.
Honestly, I can definitely say university is gonna be a learning curve, but I already love being there. Chris, not so much, he's a get in get out and avoiding people at all possible opportunities.
Here's to the winter semester 2025 (my first taste of university life) let's hope good grades and surviving navigating campus while going through the last half of pregnancy 🙃

Time to make some *ISH happen!!!
This book is the new version of the one some of my first followers saw me use day in and day out to plan my days and get stuff done. It really helped show where my time went each day.
Being without it for 2 years kinda sucked, so with lots of convincing that I was more than allowed to spend money on myself from Chris. I finally bit the bullet and bought one!!! He has been so supportive in seeing that I'm antsy to get things done ASAP not just for myself but for our family..
The book that is launching tomorrow also helps me get major clarity and focus on what needs to be done when my peak focus times are and much much more.

Well we can finally tell!! So excited for this new one on the way!!
For those who don't know we are a blended family, Chris has 2 daughters he brought to the relationship and I have Konrad that I brought to ours, then we had Callum in March. Now we get to see what the tie breaker is as long as there's just 1 in there, as my last scan was at 6 weeks and I'm currently 16 weeks measuring quite big.
The big kids are excited, callum is too little to understand, he will only be 14 months when this one is here.

Dinner tonight
Gf stir-fry
Three bell peppers
1/2 an onion
Pack of sliced mushrooms
2 chicken breasts
Bazmati rice
Sauce
1/2 cup gf soy sauce
1/8 rice vinegar
1/4 tsp chili powder
1 tbsp brown sugar
Finish off with cornstarch slurry yo thicken.
Super simple and fairly cheap used bell peppers from when I made Greek salad.
Pretty impressed with myself for whipping this up for dinner tonight, on the menu for tomorrow leftovers. Most of my meals last us two meals which helps cut down our grocery bills.
