Dr. Watt brings a wealth of knowledge, a gentle approach, and a genuine passion for helping pets live their happiest, healthiest lives. Her dedication to fear-free medicine and her commitment to compassionate care make her an incredible addition to our hospital.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your patience over the last few years as we searched for the right full-time veterinarian to join our team. Your support means so much to us.

We Have Some Exciting News To Share!
The Cat Hospital of Kamloops will soon have a new name —Tournament Valley Veterinary Hospital.
Our goal is simple: to continue providing the same thoughtful, high-quality care for cats — and now extend that same standard to dogs, too.
Please rest assured that our cat-friendly experience will not change. We’ll continue to maintain separate entrances and waiting areas for cats and dogs to ensure a calm, low-stress visit for your feline family members.
Thank you for your continued trust and support. We’re proud to grow alongside you as Tournament Valley Veterinary Hospital — where teamwork, compassion, and great care always come together.

Snow, ice and salt can be hard on our pet’s paws. Keep an eye out for any dryness, cracking or bleeding and be sure to wipe off their paws after they’ve been outside.

Today is International Volunteer Day! We thank all the local volunteers at animal rescues, humane societies, non-profit organizations, and everything in between! Our pets are family, and we are so grateful for everyone who contributes their time and efforts to support and care for animals in need.

Meet Ponyo! 🐾💛
She’s a 4-month-old sweetheart who was found as a stray in Quesnel before being rescued. Full of energy, super affectionate, and equipped with the loudest purr, Ponyo loves belly rubs and even plays fetch with her toys.
And the best part? She’s officially found her forever home.

Travelling with your pet this winter season? Be sure to never leave them alone in a vehicle as it can lead to them developing hypothermia. Temperatures can quickly become freezing in your car as they hold in the cold – picture them like giant freezers on wheels when they are parked and turned off.

Meet Mr. Stampy Cat 🧡🐾

Stampy joined his family when he was orphaned at just 5 days old. He was weak and malnourished, but with lots of love and round-the-clock care, he grew into the healthiest, happiest little survivor. Now 11 years old, he’s the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet.

Stampy’s favourite things include:
- Eating
- Sleeping
- Snuggling
- And most importantly… doing yoga

If he hears a yoga mat unroll, he appears out of nowhere to rub his furry face all over you. A certified feline yoga instructor!
