Okanagan Integral Health is excited to Welcome Mallory Froese, RMT to our team of accomplished and professional Registered Massage Therapists!

Hello,

I am very excited to announce I will be rejoining the team at Okanagan Integral Health, starting June 15, 2020. My schedule is online and open for booking!

As you may know, I relocated to Vancouver Island and had the pleasure of working with Parkway Physiotherapy and Performance Centre. I expanded my skills at the physiotherapy clinic and acquired my Visceral Manipulation 1 with the Barral Institute.

I returned to Kelowna mid March after travelling New Zealand, visiting friends.

I’m looking forward to reconnecting with previous clients and accepting new clients as well. I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy!

Sincerely,
Mallory Froese, RMT

Okanagan Integral Health is excited to welcome Ana Seed, RMT to our team of accomplished and professional Registered Massage Therapists!

Hello To All,

I am very excited to join the community of clients and therapists at Okanagan Integral Health.

To introduce myself, I have lived in small communities in the Okanagan
Valley and West Kootenays since moving to Canada as a young girl
and am still exploring the beautiful lakes, forests and valleys that surround us. I have recently transitioned from a rewarding two year practice in West Kelowna to Okanagan Integral Health, happily, making work just a bike ride away.

I feel incredibly grateful to have found a group of like minded
practitioners to work alongside and establish my practice with. My previous practice was largely filled with regular returning clients which speaks to my focus on building rapport and commitment to
work alongside you in your path to health, whether it be rehabilitation,
maintenance or relaxation for self care I look forward to treating you
soon.

I use a combination of techniques in my treatments, primarily myofascial release, joint play and Swedish relaxation massage. My treatments are therapeutic yet focused on deep relaxation and the importance it has on our nervous system.

All the best!
Ana Seed, RMT

We are pleased to announce that Okanagan Integral Health is now re-opened after the mandated COVID-19 related closure.
We are excited to be returning to the clinic and look forward to working with you. Your health is important to us, so we have developed a re-opening plan to protect patients and therapists who will come into close contact during treatment delivery.

We have made some changes in the way the clinic operates to maintain distance and cleanliness. Changes made are in alignment with the mandate of the College of Massage Therapists of BC’s interim guidelines for return to practice and the recommendations of BC’s Provincial Health Officer.

Some specific information that you need to be aware of before your next visit is highlighted below.

-You must complete the BC COVID-19 Symptom Self-Assessment prior to each visit and are not permitted to come to the clinic if you have symptoms or have been out of the country in the last 14 days.
One day prior to your appointment, you will be called by your treating therapist to connect personally to ensure you have completed this questionnaire and are symptom free.

-A maximum of 1 person should be in the waiting room at any time. If there is already someone in the waiting room, clients will be asked to wait outside in the hallway
maintaining appropriate social distancing (2m spacing),

-Patients will be asked to remain in their cars until their appointment time to limit the number of people in the clinic space.

-Patients must arrive unaccompanied unless the patient is a minor who requires parent/guardian, or infirm and needs assistance.

-Patients are asked to wash their hands in the bathroom across the hallway for a minimum of 20 seconds prior entering the clinic space and prior to leaving the building.

-The clinic will have masks, gloves and protective goggles available for the client or the therapist to use at their discretion.

Please contact your respective therapist with any questions or concerns.
Your comfort and safety are of uttermost importance to us and we believe that with honesty, transparency and clear open communication we can continue providing our services while minimizing the risks involved.

Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to seeing you soon,
The Team at Okanagan Integral Health

What is Massage Therapy?

Massage therapy is one of the oldest methods of healing, as the practice of therapeutic massage can be traced back nearly 4,000 years. Statistics from both Health Canada 1 and the American Massage Therapy Association 2 show that millions of North Americans use it today.
Massage therapy refers to a comprehensive health management strategy focusing on the application of various techniques to positively affect the soft tissues and joints of the body. Massage techniques most commonly include pressure and compression, kneading, friction, and mobilizing to improve the health and condition of the muscles, tendons, skin, fascia or connective tissue of the body.
Today massage is thought of as a holistic therapy that complements medical treatment. The “Physician’s Guide to Therapeutic Massage” shows that massage can decrease pain, improve range of motion, improve mood, aid in the circulation of blood and lymph flow, reduce muscle and joint soreness, and improve sleep.
