Many people are shocked to learn that counseling is not a regulated profession in British Columbia. But it isn't. Please make sure that you check the credentials of your therapist, and make sure that they went to an institution that you recognize.

A B.C. psychotherapist is facing a complaint that she boasted of three "possibly fraudulent" graduate degrees, but because her profession isn't regulated, it's not clear what the potential consequences might be.
