These are the lunches I’ve been eating on repeat lately. Leftovers from dinner the night before are great, but if I don’t have leftovers, it’s almost always one of these 4 meals.

I don’t spend hours meal prepping for the week, but I always do just 1-2 things at the beginning of the week to set me up for success. Whether I prep taco meat, make a spaghetti squash, or prep a chicken salad, I know I have to do SOMETHING if I want to make healthy choices a non-negotiable.

IDK about you, but I wasn’t about to live my entire life eating healthy and exercising to still just be overweight and uncomfortable.

I spent years feeling defeated, frustrated and confused about why I couldn’t lose the weight.

- I was eating healthy meals
- I was going to the gym
- I was making my own food at home
- I felt like I had to do 4,000 things to make it work

But the one thing that turned everything around for me?

There are sooo many ways to put yourself into a calorie deficit naturally, without tracking your food.

These are my weekly go-to breakfasts. Especially the overnight oats. I make a double batch, divide into jars and I literally don’t have to think about breakfast again for days.

The Chocolate Zucchini Smoothie is also 💯 worth the effort. Make sure you freeze the banana and zucchini beforehand for best results. This is my summer staple!

Here’s a hill I will die on...

If you’ve been yo-yo dieting for years, you cannot “intuitively eat” your way back to a healthy weight.

Before you get mad at that, hear me out...

Living on the all-or-nothing hamster wheel for YEARS caused me to be completely out of touch with what my body actually needed.

I was either “off the wagon” yolo-ing my way through life, eating whatever I wanted before I would inevitably have to get “back on track.”

OR, I was ALL-IN. Being super restrictive, saying no to every single thing that felt like an indulgence.

This threw my hormones totally out of whack. My body was responding to extremes, not balance.

And when your hormones respond to extremes, you experience:

👉 strong cravings (especially for sugar, carbs and alcohol)
👉 constant hunger
👉 less satisfaction with food
👉 tired, sluggish and low energy

This is a vulnerable post for me, but I truly think it’s so important to talk about.

If there’s one thing I deeply believe in, it’s that feeling good in your body and intentionally choosing to invest the time, energy and resources it takes to actually get there has the power to improve every single area of your life.

Four years ago, my life looked a whole lot different. I was overweight, lacked confidence in my career and was the unhealthiest version of myself. Today, I am confident not only in myself, but also in my business and what it does for women.

And the better it gets, the better it gets.

Changing your identify is a DAILY practice. You have to prove to yourself over and over and over again who you are.

I didn’t track a single calorie for the first 25lbs I lost.

However... I learned that you have to track SOMETHING.

It’s mid-March, and I’m willing to bet you’ve been having conversations with yourself about wanting to get back on track before summer. Amiright?

But before you dive headfirst into:

😩 Swearing off all your favourite foods
😩 Tracking calories
😩 Forcing yourself back to intense workouts
😩 Going low-carb

Can I be honest with you for a second?

I want you to ask yourself these TWO very important questions before you put yourself through all of that ^

Ask yourself...

1) Am I willing to do this without trying to be “perfect” or giving up everything I love?

I know you want to get this done and out of the way. And I want that for you, too. But I know from so many failed attempts in the past that trying to be “perfect” until you arrive is the fastest way to burning out and giving up before you get there. This time, see how much farther you can get by doing it more sustainably.

2) Am I willing to do something different?

This one might sting, but friend to friend, if you already had everything you needed to be successful at this long term, you would have already done it by now. You would have stopped the yo-yo dieting, stopped the all-in mindset, and you wouldn’t be “starting over”. Again. You would already have everything you say you want.

But if you’re not there yet, it’s because you’re missing something.

We get really serious about a few things.

But just so we’re all on the same page, I’m also not against tracking calories, and I think it can be a helpful tool to use, once you’re ready for it.
