Think heavy periods are just normal? Or that low iron is “just something you deal with”?

The truth is, they’re often linked in a vicious cycle.

Low iron can contribute to heavy periods, and heavy periods cause low iron.

If I had a nickel for every time a woman said, “Oh, my iron is just low,” I’d have... well, a lot of nickels!

Low iron doesn’t just show up on a lab test, it shows up in your life. Low energy, brain fog, difficulty focusing, dizziness, feeling breathless, or struggling to recover after workouts…it’s not “just you,” and it’s not something you have to accept.

Breaking the cycle starts with understanding what’s really going on and finding the right support. If this sounds like you, let’s chat!

Menopause is more than just hormones—it’s a turning point in your health journey. This stage of life is the perfect time to pause and look at the bigger picture.

Yes, hormone therapy can be part of the plan, but it’s also a chance to focus on your heart health, bone density, sleep quality, and emotional well-being. How are you really feeling? Are there areas where you could feel better, stronger, or more supported?

This is your opportunity to create a plan that supports you through menopause and beyond. Follow for more evidence based hormonal support.

Is this you 🤣

Feeling exhausted all the time? Struggling to focus, deal with brain fog, or catch enough sleep? If you’ve got heavy periods, you might be dealing with iron deficiency—and it’s more common than you think.

Heavy menstrual bleeding is one of the biggest causes of low iron in women. Every time you have a period, you’re losing iron, and if you’re not replenishing it, your body (and energy) pays the price. Low iron can lead to fatigue, dizziness, hair loss, and even shortness of breath. Sound familiar?

If you’ve been feeling wiped out or constantly tired, it’s worth getting your iron levels checked. And if you know you’ve been slacking on taking your iron... consider this your reminder! 💡

Hormones are definitely having their moment in the spotlight—and rightfully so! I’m a big fan of the positive attention they’re getting, and I’ve seen firsthand how they can help women feel like themselves again.

But here’s the thing: while hormones can be life-changing for some, they’re not the only option. And I don’t want anyone feeling like they missed out or that it’s the only way to support their health.

For some women, hormones might not be the best fit, or the timing just isn’t right for their situation. That doesn’t mean all hope is lost! There are so many other proven ways to support your cardiovascular, cognitive, and bone health beyond hormone therapy.

Hormones aren’t for everyone, but I do believe every woman deserves an informed conversation about whether they could be right for her.
