Becoming a mother can be beautiful.
It can also feel disorienting.
There’s love.
There’s gratitude.
And sometimes, there’s grief.
Grief for the version of you who moved through the world differently.
Who had more space.
Who felt more certain.
Who wasn’t carrying so much.
Missing who you were does not mean you love your baby any less.
Both can be true.
My background as a midwife deeply informs the way I hold this work. I understand not only the emotional shifts of this season, but the physical and identity changes that come with pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood. That experience shapes how I support women walking through this transition.
At Anam Chara, there is space for the parts of motherhood that don’t always get said out loud.
