Welcome. I am Ryan Samuels, a Kelowna Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine expert! I grew up in Lethbridge, Alberta and quickly moved away after high school to travel the world. While traveling in Thailand I first became interested in Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine. I had injured my shoulder and neck rock climbing and was unable to lift my left arm. Unable to climb or do much at all I was walking the streets of Chiang Mai when I stumbled across an Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine clinic. Not knowing much about it, but interested in the medicine, I decided to give it a try. One week and two treatments later my pain was gone and I could lift my arm again. After that Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine became my therapy of choice while at home and abroad. It wasn't until I started seeing a Chinese Medicine Practitioner regularly did I realize how truly effective Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine are. I had been battling with chronic sleep walking for over 27 years, and within a few months of regular treatments my nightly sleep walking became almost nonexistent. Because of all the positive changes Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine have made in my life I naturally wanted to share it with the world - or anyone that is open to it. I am a Registered Acupuncturist & Chinese Medicine Practitioner and have received the highest level of Acupuncture and Chinese Medical training in North America: a five year Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine diploma. In addition to that I have obtained an educational background in Kinesiology and Massage Therapy and have acquired over 7 years of clinical Massage Therapy experience. Before relocating to Kelowna I operated a private Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine practice in Nelson, B.C. Treatments with me are thorough and result oriented. Once I have established my diagnosis I use my diverse skill set to address the root of the problem in a manner that is both comfortable and addresses the patients needs. I operate a general practice in Kelowna at K.L.O Chiropractic Centre, and enjoy working with patients suffering from acute and chronic pain, anxiety and digestive disorders.
