💙 Tonight, we just want to say thank you. ✨

When we presented you with the opportunity to donate on Giving Tuesday, we had no idea just how generous you would be with your participation and your donations.

Every challenge we issued was met, resulting in matching donations totalling $9,000 from our wonderful partners including Lake Country Financial Group, Kenora Optometry Clinic and Northern Hearing.

Alice Jardine, the Founder of the Tree of Life, would be so proud.

More about this incredible day of giving, and our heartfelt gratitude, will be shared later this week.

✨ Shining a Light on Our Giving Tuesday Matching Donors: Northern Hearing Inc. ✨

At Northern Hearing, they listen closely to what our community needs and this year, the hospital needs our help. Join them in making an impact in our community. This year, they're stepping up as a Giving Tuesday Match Donor for the Tree of Life Appeal, pledging a $5,000 donation when 50 total donations are made (including by 10 new donors) on Dec 2!

Their generous spirit helps make sure every person in our community has access to the care they deserve at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital. We’re honoured to work with leaders who uplift our community in such heartfelt ways.

Your Giving Tuesday donations, paired with their match challenge, will help light the Tree of Life and purchase a new video laryngoscope for the Emergency Department.

It’s one week until Giving Tuesday! Get ready to join us for a special 24-hour Giving Challenge on December 2nd, 2025, where together we can make a huge difference in our community’s health, through the Tree of Life Appeal.

Here’s how it works:

✨ Challenge 1: Activate a $1,000 donation from Lake Country Financial Group when 10 donors from across Northwestern Ontario make a gift.

✨ Challenge 2: Unlock a $3,000 donation from Kenora Optometry Clinic when 30 individuals give.

✨ Challenge 3: Release a $5,000 donation from Northern Hearing when we hit 50 total donations (including 10 new donors) on December 2!

On Giving Tuesday, when you purchase a bulb for $10 on the Tree of Life, you honour someone special and bring us closer to our $60,000 goal to equip the Emergency Department with a Video Laryngoscope. This vital equipment supports safe and efficient care for patients of all ages, from infants to seniors, when every second counts.
