Are you pregnant and concerned about postpartum depression?

McMaster University is recruiting participants for a study about preventing postpartum depression (PPD).

We are conducting a research study to determine if a free, online, 1-day cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)-based workshop delivered by trained professionals is effective at preventing PPD.

You may be eligible if you are living in Ontario, 18 years of age or older, currently in your 2nd or 3rd trimester of pregnancy, and feel you may have had a depressive episode in the past.

Half of participants who enroll in the study will continue receiving usual care (provided by their healthcare provider) AND will participate in the CBT workshop, and half will receive their usual care ONLY, and not attend the workshop. Participants will complete four online questionnaires between enrollment and 3-months postpartum.
