Did you know that 9 out of 12 Council members at Community Living Ontario are women?

These women bring their lived experience forward to advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Ontario.

We are grateful for their leadership, guidance, and the voices they continue to uplift every day.

KACL was proud to be a part of this year’s annual Coldest Night of the Year, which is a country-wide charity event that seeks to raise funds for those experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness.

While KACL wasn’t an official sponsor of CNOY 2026, we did have a presence on Saturday evening alongside dozens of other community members, even though the temperatures once again took a dive and it really was a freezing cold night.

Here in Kenora, CNOY 2026 raised over $30,000 – and counting – to go toward those in need, thanks to the hard work of the Kenora Fellowship Centre, Jubilee Church of God, and all of the volunteers and teams that participated.

The Early Years Arts & Design Festival is back and bursting with colour, creativity, and FUN! Join us Saturday, February 21 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at St. John Paul II School for a morning packed with hands-on art, music, movement, and imagination.

This FREE event is open to children ages 0 to Grade 3, and all families are welcome — you don’t have to attend a KCDSB school to join the fun!

Since April 2024, KACL Employment Services has watched the FIREFLY team go the extra mile to ensure everyone is included in all aspects of their organization, regularly looking for opportunities to create an environment of belonging by furthering professional development based on skills.
