🎉Come join our Stain Glass Workshops ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Create your own stained glass sun catcher and add some beautiful color to any window. In this beginner workshop you will learn all the basics required for the copper foil method of stained glass. You will learn how to properly use tools like glass cutters, grinders, and soldering iron.

· Introduction to Glass Cutting: Learn the basics of using a hand cutter and breaking pliers to safely cut out your choice of pattern.

· Glass Grinding: Use a grinder to shape your pieces and prepare for the tape.

· Copper Foil Taping: Learn how to use a hand tool to apply the copper foil tape

· Soldering & Wire Work: Try your hand at basic soldering

· Expert Guidance: Receive personalized attention and tips from our experienced instructor.

Equipment: All necessary equipment and materials will be provided, including glass, tape, and solder.

🤝 New Peer Support Program Launching in Georgina: The Sanctuary

The Northern York South Simcoe Ontario Health Team is pleased to support The Sanctuary, a new peer support drop-in program offered by the Krasman Centre in partnership with the Town of Georgina.

Launching May 1, 2026, this six-month program provides a safe, welcoming, and low-barrier space for individuals aged 16+ experiencing mental health or substance use challenges.

The Sanctuary focuses on connection, empowerment, and hope, offering:
✔️ 1:1 peer support
✔️ Peer-led support groups
✔️ Skill-building workshops
✔️ Social and recreational activities
✔️ System navigation support

📍 Locations in Georgina:
• Sutton Arena Hall (Tuesdays)
• Ice Palace Multi-purpose Room (Fridays)

This initiative reflects the strength of community partnerships in expanding access to inclusive, peer-based mental health supports across our region.
