☀️ Autism Unplugged Summer Camp is returning, and we couldn’t be more excited.
Our summer programs are designed to be more than just a way to fill the day.
This is where kids build real confidence, real connections, and real-life skills, in an environment that truly understands them.
Our camps are open to any child who would benefit from structure, social skill development, and a supportive environment.
Each week brings new experiences, guided social opportunities, and hands-on activities designed to help children connect, regulate, and grow.
✨ Weekly themed programming
✨ Social skill development built into every day
✨ Structured, supportive environment
✨ Opportunities to build friendships and confidence
Spots are limited to ensure the right level of support for each child.

We are so excited to share that we have officially selected a winner for our iPad Giveaway 💙

First, thank you.

The number of families who shared their stories, their needs, and how this could support their child was truly incredible. We read every single entry, and it was a powerful reminder of how important access to the right tools really is.

This was never just a giveaway.
It was about getting something meaningful into the hands of a family who truly needs it.

✨ Congratulations to Ozzie ✨
Ozzie is a 3-year-old little boy who is non-verbal and needs a voice.

This iPad will help support communication, connection, and independence — and we are so honoured to be a small part of that journey.

A heartfelt thank you to his grandmother, Tammy Crittenden, who nominated him. She has been contacted.

The winner was selected at random, with witnesses present, and all entries were verified.

This would not have been possible without the incredible support of our community sponsors:

Today, our community came together in a powerful way for Autism Awareness Day at our flag raising. 💙

We are so grateful for the incredible support shown by our local leaders, media, and community members who stood with us to raise awareness and be part of this moment.

Emerging estimates indicate that autism prevalence could be as high as 1 in 30 children.

Here in Georgina, with approximately 10,000 children, that means an estimated 200–300 diagnosed — and a significant number of children who are still undiagnosed or waiting years for support.

This is not a small issue.
This is our community.

We need support now more than ever... for early intervention, for families navigating long waitlists, and for children who deserve the opportunity to learn, communicate, and thrive.

We are incredibly thankful to those who joined us today:
Susan Lahey, East Gwillimbury Town Councillor and President of Caroline Mulroney’s York–Simcoe Riding Association,
Mayor Margaret Quirk, Members of Council including Councillor Dale Kerr Genge, Councillor Charlene Biggerstaff, Councillor Lee Dale with Hudson, Georgina's Regional Councillor Naomi Davison, ROGERS tv Georgina, The Georgina Post and Eric Brouwer from Brouwer Kesmac who generously donated use of the flagpole with staff for today's event.

And to our entire community...thank you for showing up, sharing, and standing beside us.

This is how change starts. 💙

Our Sensory-Friendly Movie Event was an overwhelming success. 💙

What took place wasn’t just a movie… it was an opportunity for families to experience something that is so often out of reach. A space where lights were softened, sound was adjusted, movement was welcomed, and every child was accepted exactly as they are.

For many of our families, this was more than an outing.
It was a moment of inclusion.
A moment of ease.
A moment where they didn’t have to worry …just enjoy.

We were deeply honoured to welcome MP Jacob Mantle, Mayor Margaret Quirk, and Charlene Biggerstaff - Councillor, whose presence sent a powerful message of support and recognition for the families we serve. Your attendance mattered, and it did not go unnoticed.

This event would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our sponsors; businesses in our community who continue to step forward, invest, and stand behind inclusive initiatives:

Shout out to our Silver Sponsor, Brouwer Kesmac
a long-standing champion of Autism Unplugged. 💙

Some spaces are more than just land, they become places where confidence is built, where regulation happens naturally, and where children feel free to just be.

For our families, that space exists because of Brouwer Kesmac.

Their support has made it possible for our learners to step outside, explore, move, regulate, and connect in ways that simply wouldn’t be possible within four walls.

This is where skills are practiced in real life.
Where confidence is built.
Where children experience success in ways that matter.

This is more than sponsorship.
This is impact you can see, feel, and experience every single day.

We are deeply grateful for their unwavering support... and for the role they continue to play in changing what’s possible for the families we serve.

Thank you for your continued support of our Sensory-Friendly Movie Event and upcoming Autism Awareness Flag Raising, your partnership helps make these moments possible for the families we serve. Because of partners like you, we are able to create inclusive, meaningful experiences for our community.
