Save this post for yourself and share with a loved one who disconnects from their body frequently.

Here are some of the go to techniques:

Get in whole brain integration position - start with this- pretzeling your arms and legs together
Box Breathing, inhale 4 count, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4
Figure 8 bilateral stimulation and follow your fingers with your eyes
Body Crossover diagonally across your chest
Pull Apart Technique across the head, face, and chest
Body Tapping at meridian points or all over
Body scan starting from the bottom of your feet
Vagal toning exercises like humming, massaging and pulling on ears, eye exercises
A high sensory experience that snaps you right back into your body, like smelling strong coffee or sticking your fingers in some grainy sugar or salt, or biting into a lemon.
Dance - end with this- to metabolise all that built up energy

When in fight or flight I’d suggest grabbing some ice and rubbing the back of your neck and your wrists or munching on it, but with freeze, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Sometimes the greatest leaders aren’t walking in front of you — they’re standing beside you.

From Burnout to Boundaries is a special one for me.
I needed it first.

Years ago I hit burnout and had a severe breakdown.
Learning real boundaries became the bridge from breakdown → breakthrough → beyond.

If overcommitting feels automatic, weekends don’t restore you, and guilt shows up when you set limits, this is for you.

Breakthrough | You either own your triggers or your triggers will own you!

When we’re triggered, our body releases the same chemicals from a past experience that imprinted on our subconscious mind.

It might feel like 🤬, but if it was familiar growing up, we start craving it—subconsciously recreating situations to feel that same emotional cocktail again.

When the flooding peaks, we get overwhelmed, then rationalize it and realize we’re “overreacting.” We calm down, recover… until the next fix.

We’re often operating from the inner child—the part frozen at the moment of that original experience. That younger self gave meaning to the event, forming beliefs that still shape how we think, feel, and react.

Yes, subconscious reprogramming and inner child work can help.
