is day. And all over the world people will light a candle to honour and remember their babies. The light from these flames, thanks to the varying time zones, creates a spanning the globe

I will be lighting a candle again this year, and I encourage you to do the same, and take a moment to reflect on the time you did have with your babe, no matter how long or short that time was!

Every year around the world on October 15th candles are lit at 7pm local time and left burning for 1 hour, creating a continuous wave of light. 💫

Today is Rainbow baby day!

While we recognize that not every family can or chooses to have a rainbow, we want to take the time to recognize these special gifts among us!

Today is National Rainbow Baby Day💙

Since the start of our Keepsake Set program, we have sent out thousands of Keepsake Sets. At the end of each request form opening day, I sit down and read through the submissions. I read each and every note, name, and special request. My heart breaks each time I do this because each of the submissions is for a baby who died. Each request is for a family who desperately wanted this baby.

One of the phrases I read a lot each month is “this should have been our rainbow baby.”

What is a rainbow baby? A rainbow baby is a baby that you have after the loss of a child. This baby is a symbol of renewal and hope.

Not everyone has a rainbow baby, and we want you to know that we see you 💙

I have listened to this song 6 times now, I have been crying since the end of the first chorus. For myself, for my family, for my baby, for everyone who has lost their little one!
Taylor hasn’t shared any information (to my knowledge) about suffering a loss, but in my heart, I’m doubtful this song could be about anything else. So thank you Taylor for giving the community an anthem

Hey friends!!! Just touching base once more to see if we would like an in-person or online ceremony this year? If no response I will likely do online (or maybe just set a table up at a park and hope for the best)
We are getting close to the big day and I would love to see everyone again, but I do understand if people just don’t feel comfortable with in-person just yet!

What are everyone’s thoughts on an in-person ceremony this year?
I believe that the world has grown around this virus enough that we can allow it, plus it is outside and people would of course be welcome to wear masks and sanitizer would be present as well (I would also urge anyone who is sick to stay home), but I feel like with these measures in place we could realistically be able to safely resume in-person wave of light this year.
Does anyone else agree? Disagree? I would love to resume face-to-face celebration again, but only if that is something that others in the community also want. Please feel free to leave your thoughts, opinions and suggestions in the comments!

Please join me in sending healing thoughts to a hurting local family tonight.
To respect their privacy I can’t share any details, but a friend of mine is currently at the hospital waiting to say hello and goodbye to their angel baby.
Watching them deal with this has stirred up so many emotions for me personally, and I wish there was more I could say or do for them. Just because I’ve suffered a loss, doesn’t mean that I’m any better than anyone else at handling these situations. My heart is breaking for this family, and all I can do is send love and support their way, so please leave a comment or message to help them feel the love of the community they are now joining 💔

I only had Angel in my life for just under 12 weeks… but I have never stopped loving them, never stopped wondering who they would be now!
