If calorie counting worked exactly the way we were taught, more people would keep the weight off.

The problem with calorie counting isn’t effort.

It’s oversimplification.

Two foods with the same calories on a label don’t always deliver the same calories to your body.

Why?
• Cooking changes calorie availability
• Digestion isn’t identical from person to person
• Stress and sleep affect absorption and regulation

So while calorie counting can be useful for awareness, it’s not an exact science—and it’s not required for progress.

You don’t need to micromanage numbers to get results.
You need a system that works with human biology, not against it.

Is your core a canoe? In other words, is your deep inner unit core musculature weak or dysfunctional resulting in your torso being an unstable canoe?

Imagine trying to shoot a cannon from a canoe, there would be no stability and the immense power from the cannon would blow back and likely throw the canoe backwards. Like a novice shooting a rifle without proper posture or readiness for the kickback. Or like wearing sneakers while standing on ice and trying to hit a golf ball. It's going to end poorly!

You need a strong, central basis of support to work from. The arms and legs emanate out from the core. Therefore, they will only be as strong or as useful as the core they are anchored to.
Your core and your deep joint stabilizers are the solid ground OR 👉 an unstable canoe. Your arms and legs and any load they move is like the cannon firing.

So if you want to increase your drive 🏌️‍♀️, have a more powerful punch 🥋, increase your kicking power ⚽️, jump higher, run faster, hit better 🎾 or lift more 🏋‍♀️ AND reduce your risk of injury, you best have a fully functioning, strong and stable base to move from, a strong and stable inner unit AKA deep core!

This is why the success formula for training is:

👉Mobility then
👉Stability then
👉Strength then
👉Power!

You need the first 3 before you can have any power. Then if you want to improve power, you have to improve the first 3 even more!

You're only as strong as your inner unit and joint stabilizers. Gadgets like weight belts and wrist straps and fixed axis machines (Smith machine, leg curl, etc) give you a false sense of strength and ability and are a quick way to get a visit from the Pain Teacher 😖

Water has an infinite capacity for memory and information

Water is a broadband absorber of all energy, frequency & vibration

You are 99% water by molecules, housed in fascia, a connective tissue

This water that lines and fills your cells should be biologically and physically different than h2o

When it touches a biological surface like your fascia and is exposed to infrared light, sound or pressure, it changes into h3o2, a "4th phase" of water

This h3o2 filled fascia is at the root of HEALTH and dis-ease

My Story

I am a passionate, life long learner with a BSc in Human Kinetics from St FX University. I am a level 2 CHEK Practitioner and Holisitic Lifestyle Coach through the world renown and industry leading CHEK Institute. CHEK Practitioners are widely-recognized as the finest and most highly trained exercise therapists, strength & conditioning specialists and nutrition and lifestyle coaches in the world! With this training I take a truly holistic, 4 step approach to my exercise and lifestyle programs to help my clients overcome many conditions and improve strength, fitness and performance.

Other qualifications include TRX and Agatsu Kettlebell certifications, Can-Fit-Pro and CSEP PTS, level 1 Exercise is Medicine Canada Exercise Professional.
