Move Authentically Physiotherapy

Move Authentically Physiotherapy Move better, live better! Each individual has a unique way of moving that they have learned throughout their life.

If one is missing movement, flexibility or strength in an area, another area will adapt and compensate. Throughout one’s life we accumulate these movement errors and they will eventually cause pain. At MAP we unravel these individual movement problems, like we are piecing together a puzzle. By examining the whole body’s movement we will find each individual’s true movement pattern.

NECK PAIN? TIGHT SHOULDERS? HEADACHES? 👀

It might not just be posture… it might be your breathing.

In this reel I’m talking about Breathing Pattern Dysfunction — something I see all the time in clinic.

If you’re breathing mostly into your upper chest, your neck and shoulder muscles are working overtime to help you breathe. And when they never get a break? 🚩

That can contribute to:
• Persistent neck tension
• Tight, achy shoulders
• Tension headaches
• Jaw discomfort
• That “wired but tired” feeling

The good news? Breathing is trainable. 🙌
In this video I show you:
✨ How to tell if your neck muscles are overworking
✨ Why this matters for pain
✨ A simple starting exercise to reset your breathing

If you’ve been stretching and strengthening but still feel stuck… this might be your missing piece.

Save this to try later 💾

Congrats Vaidehi Pandit on the scholarship through BradCliff Breathing!

"My name is Vaidehi Pandit, and I am a Registered Physiotherapist currently practicing in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. In my current role, I work with clients across a wide range of age groups, from teenagers to older adults. Through my clinical experience, I have noticed that many of my patients present with dysfunctional breathing patterns that have gradually become their “normal,” often without their awareness. I had not fully appreciated the significance of breathing until my colleague, Christine Campbell, PT, introduced me to the fundamentals of breathing assessment and retraining, and how these concepts can be integrated into physiotherapy practice. Christine has completed both levels of the Bradcliff Breathing Methods courses and encouraged me to pursue this training. Receiving this scholarship and taking the Bradcliff Breathing course will allow me to deepen my understanding of breathing mechanics and dysfunction. I am confident this knowledge will enhance my clinical skills and better equip me to help my patients restore more efficient and healthy breathing patterns. Thank you very much for this opportunity and your support." - Vaidehi Pandit, Canada
