I had the privilege of joining our partners at VON to help deliver meals for their Meals on Wheels program. I rode along with Muriele and Steve—two volunteers whose kindness quietly keeps our community standing a little taller.

Muriele navigated the route with care, and Steve made sure every meal reached the hands that needed it most. Watching them work reminded me that for many seniors, this isn’t just food. It’s nourishment, connection, and reassurance that someone out there cares.

Programs like Meals on Wheels are lifelines. But it’s volunteers like Muriele and Steve who turn those lifelines into something deeply human.

Grateful to witness it firsthand. Even more grateful for the people who make sure no senior is forgotten.
