This is our handyman volunteer, Ray, who supports our hospice Houses with all manner of indoor and outdoor tasks. Ray has been a dedicated volunteer with us for many years, consistently showing the same kindness, helping hands, and enthusiasm, along with his big smiles.

You'll notice that he's holding a golden envelope and a gold shovel - that's because he was recently nominated for a LENNY award, a city of Cambridge Program that recognizes community spirit - in particular, Ray helps a neighbour with snow removal and lawn maintenance.

And he won! 😊 Please join us in congratulating Ray on earning this well-deserved award. 🎖️

We were honoured to welcome Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice last week as they picked up our Comfort Bears for their memorial service. 🧸💛

These bears are chosen for meaningful family moments because each one is the same—helping ensure fairness and comfort when more than one child is present. Their high quality and soothing nature bring a small sense of peace during difficult times.

We’ve been so grateful to have Jocelyn Frey with us as a Student Social Work Intern over the past few months 💙 Working alongside our Social Worker, Heather, Jocelyn has helped support residents and their families with compassion and care. One part of her placement she especially enjoyed was our Art from the Heart Legacy Program, including hand‑holding photos, hand‑hold molds, stuffed animals with personalized message recordings, fingerprint trees, and more. Jocelyn’s dedication and kindness truly made a lasting impact, and we’re so thankful for all of her hard work during her time with us.

Last week, Modupe and Connie stopped by with a generous $1,000 donation, following an inspiring visit from one of our Resource Nurses. We are so grateful to the Blessed Sacrament St. Vincent de Paul for their incredible generosity and support of the important work we do.
