Dr. Kiyotaka Kawashima is a globally renowned urologist, specialized in prostate surgery. In the following lecture he explains his theory on the integral functional and morphological role of connective tissue, the fusion fascia theory.
For the selective treatment of interstitial structures Dr. Kawashima states his rationale for using the preciseSECT mode, which takes advantage of alternating modulation. The adjustment to different tissue impedances in interstitial surgery plays an important role in dissection and hemostasis with preciseSECT. Along with that, minimized lateral thermal spread and low smoke exposure make it best suitable for selective treatment of connective tissue in proximity of vulnerable structures.

Should your surgical image be perfect? YES!!!

However, it is only as good as the weakest link in the video chain. All endoscopes should be inspected and new staff trained on care and handling at least 1-2 times per year to ensure a consistently perfect image.
