Trinity Village is a supportive and caring non-profit community for older adults owned and operated by Lutheran Homes Kitchener-Waterloo. Made up of a Long Term Care Home, Adult Day Program and Independent Living Townhomes, Trinity Village is conveniently located on Kingsway Drive in Kitchener near Fairview Park Mall. Our Mission : In conjunction with community partners, Lutheran Homes Kitchener-Waterloo provides quality programs and facilities that enable people with housing, medical and social needs to live with dignity and respect. Our Vision: Lutheran Homes Kitchener-Waterloo, a faith-based ministry, will be a leader in providing superior care through innovative services and community partnerships that enable people to live with dignity and respect. Our Values: As a Christian-based organization, our day-to-day activities are focused on building a community of caring, service-oriented people.

📢 We’re pleased to share that one of our photos has been selected as a finalist for “Age in Focus,” a visual storytelling event that highlights the journey of aging.

The selected photo recognizes the life and story of our resident, Melvin R., who, through his work as a photographer, documented meaningful moments within our community. His story reminds us that aging is not only about the passing of years, but about lived experiences and memories.

✍️ In our workshops, residents gather in small groups to share, revisit cherished memories and write. Each session sparks conversation, laughter, and connection as participants tell their stories, reflect on their experiences, and listen to one another.

These workshops offer a space for creativity, self-expression, and lifelong learning—where everyone’s story is valued, and every voice is heard.

This past December, our residents completed the Fall sessions of Opening Minds Through Art (OMA), an internationally recognized intergenerational program that empowers individuals living with dementia to express themselves through abstract art. During these sessions, our residents created artwork alongside students from Forest Heights Collegiate Institute, building intergenerational bonds and celebrating creativity, self-expression, and meaningful connections. Each piece reflects the resident’s imagination, individuality, and artistic voice. We’re proud to offer programs like OMA that enrich lives and foster connections across generations. 💚

Earlier this month, we were honoured to celebrate a Christmas Worship Service with St. Peter’s Church, bringing together residents and their loved ones. Through music, worship, and shared moments, the service celebrated connection, hope, and the spirit of the season. 🎄
