Inspired by Ilana’s visionary approach, I became a Rubenfeld Synergist to help others experience profound healing through the integration of mind, body, spirit, and emotions. Ilana’s method was truly ahead of its time. I’m proud to continue her healing legacy through my private practice and as Director of the International 3-Year Training Program.

Ilana Rubenfeld’s work continues to be transmitted

Bonnie Muller has made it her mission to carry on Ilana’s bodymind exercises.

Bonnie offered a beautifully worded and spoken bodymind exercise at the USABP presentation of Ilana Rubenfeld’s Legacy on November 13, 2025.

This bodymind was inspired by the words of many Synergists who wrote about the passion and power of the work.

The title is “Ilana’s OPUS”.

It begins with this:

Presence and Permission
Begin where the breath begins —in stillness.
In the quiet space where the body waits to be noticed
the hands listen — not to fix, but to welcome.

Here, awareness opens like the first tone:
soft, uncertain, alive.
“You are safe to notice. You are safe to feel.
You are safe to be met.” From this center, the spiral begins to move.

The Painted Horse of Ancestral Winds
With the breath of evening winds
woven through its mane,
the Painted Horse stands—
a spirit shaped
by sky, earth,
and the whispers of old tribes.
Its blue coat holds the calm of deep waters,
the strength of storms yet unspoken,
while golden marks trace its face
like ancient songs
carved into the memory of time.
Feathers drape its neck
like the wings of ancestors
who watched over the people
from the sacred heights,
reminding them
that freedom is a prayer
and courage is a path.
In the horse’s steady gaze
lives the quiet wisdom of the plains—
the knowledge that true strength
walks gently,
and true warriors
carry peace in their hearts
even when the world does not.
It speaks without voice:
“Honor your journey.
Move with respect.
Let the winds guide your spirit,
and let your footsteps
echo the love
of those who walked before you.
You belong to the land—
and the land belongs to you.”
Where the Painted Horse journeys,
the earth softens,
the sky listens,
and the ancestors smile—
for their legacy runs on
in every beat of its noble heart.

Have you ever been stuck in a place where the next step felt too big or too daunting? Learning to trust our ability to meet those moments is an ongoing process. When we listen to the cues from our bodies, we build the trust we need to tap into our “brave” self and try.
