Exciting progress! A new client referred for NeuroKinetic Therapy an athletic individual who hits the gym consistently, came in with a challenge—their right quadriceps was aching during leg presses. Despite massages and chiropractic care providing some relief, there was no significant improvement—yet.
As we explored their health history, we discovered a pivotal detail: a right ankle fracture from a snowboarding 🏂 accident three years ago. This insight was key, as NKT revealed that the ankle was overworking due to the ATFL (anterior talofibular ligament) being compromised, while the right glute max was underperforming.
With this knowledge, we worked to restore balance. Clearing the dysfunctional patterns, immediately the client’s heel strike became softer and more cushioned, reducing impact and strain. We then checked the hip, identifying a decompresion dysfunction in the right hip.
Next, we guided the client into a deep squat. Initially, there was a noticeable shift to the left side, indicating compensation. By assessing and clearing dysfunctions between the external and internal obliques on the left, we helped restore symmetry. After these adjustments, the client performed the deep squat with even weight distribution and no pain—an incredible breakthrough!
The results were inspiring: • Improved gait • Enhanced ankle mobility • Strengthened core stability
The client walked out empowered, with a tailored rehab plan to address and change compensation patterns. This is a testament to the power of targeted, precise interventions—showing that with the right approach, progress is always within reach. Keep pushing forward—big wins start with small, consistent steps!
