We all know that working out, moving our bodies, and being "active" is important, but figuring out what that means can be quite the challenge.

I'm using the term "workout" in this post, but I am referring to any type of movement you choose. This could be yoga, swimming, strength training, etc.

There is a lot of advice out there about what you "should" do to stay healthy, but none of it takes into consideration you as an individual.

Read through the slides to find out how to find YOUR sweet spot so that your movement practice becomes enjoyable, sustainable, and effective!

Having a day?

Take a moment to breathe with us!

Inhale as the circle expands, exhale as the circle shrinks. Maybe even close your eyes then begin to notice all of the elements of your breath.

Notice your inhale - where do you feel it?
Notice the pause at the top of your breath.
Notice your exhale - what does it feel like?
Notice the pause.

Repeat.

After a few cycles, see if you feel any different :)

Sometimes it's easier to find habits that support you when you have a framework to place them in.

Many times people just don't know where to begin. Is that you? I know I've been there before. There are so many elements of "health" and so many options that it can feel overwhelming.

But The 5 Pillars of Health can help give you a foundation to build upon.

Movement: Any movement that supports you! The key is figuring out what that is, figuring out how to be consistent, and also how to be flexible.

Nutrition: Food is literally medicine. Thinking about what feels good for your body and what doesn't and learning to honour that.

Stress Management: We all have way too much stress these days. Managing stress is a key part of feeling well in body and mind. Stress can effect everything from sleep to cravings to energy to relationships... this list is endless.

Rest: We also live in a society that doesn't value rest. But it is critical to wellness. If you aren't rested, you can't do all of the other things well.

Connection: We need to feel connected to ourselves and others. Whether that means you schedule in time for meditation, a walk, a dinner with a friend, it is a necessary component of wellness. Social media "connection" has become the norm but we need more than that!

Obviously this is a very brief description of the 5 Pillars of Health. If you'd like more info or want to chat with our Health Coach about how to bring these elements into your life, give us a call or send us a DM! We'd love to support you on your wellness journey :)

New Series coming soon!

Energy is something we can all feel, and sometimes, we feel that energy as unwanted stress. Stress itself isn't always the problem though, it is the way we "deal" with it that can cause us problems.

This series will help you release energy through movement - strength, mobility, and balance - and practice mindful strategies to build resilience in body and mind.

6 week series starting on October 27th
Every Wednesday at 7pm
$105

Did you know that you can create your own schedule for personal training with me?

Traditionally you would go see your trainer a few times a week, every week but for moms with young kids, that can be very challenging.

It doesn't need to be that way. We can customize a plan that works for you. That might be seeing me once a month or every couple of weeks. We create a plan for you, I check in to keep you accountable, and we meet up every so often to keep progressing you.

I am a mom of two young kids and I know how hard it is to get some time to yourself. That's why I want to be as flexible and accommodating as possible for you. I get it.

If you want to add more movement and healthy habits into your life, book a free 15 minute consultation with me to see how we can work together.

I'd love to support you Mama ♥

The countdown is on!

Next week we start our Fall Stroller Fitness session and we couldn't be more excited!

Come join us on Tuesdays or Thursdays (or both!) at 9:30am in Springbank Park for the next 6 weeks.

This is a low intensity workout for new and seasoned Mamas who want to get outside, move better, and feel stronger!

Registration closes soon so don't miss out!

See you next week :)

Your are the glue that holds it all together, but without enough glue, it all crumbles...

When we stretch ourselves thin trying to be everything to everyone, and do everything that we feel is expected, there's nothing left to truly enjoy.

But what if we stopped doing all the things, all the time? Would everything still crumble? Or would the things we focus on actually be stronger and more resilient? Or, what if we stopped being the glue altogether?

What can you let go of? What are you doing in your life that you don't really need to do?

Let it go, Mama :) You aren't meant to do all the things, all the time.
