HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACK!!!!
Today this incredible man turns 68!!!
It's all because of him that we have horses.
His childhood was filled with horses and he brought that love into our family.
All five of our boys and I learned so much about life because of them.
And now, we continue to learn and to share.
Horse Connect would never have come about if it wasn't for him. ❤

Horses know.
They listen. They respond to authenticity.
When you are grieving, it's hard to talk about it. You tell people that you are "fine". Your mouth doesn't say what your heart is feeling. What your body is feeling.
Horses respond to your heart and your body. They know when you are saying the words that others want to hear instead of the words that you really want to say.
MJ is certified as a Horse Facilitated Grief Guide. She will listen and create an opportunity for you to be with the horses.
Saturday March 14. 1-3PM
Pre-registration is helpful but not necessary.

This is LIZ. She came to the farm to get relief.
Her story is long and big chunks of it are unknown.
She is an off the track thoroughbred and she is lovely!!!
She came to my friend Amy as a rescue horse. She has scars and mental wounds from past trauma. Amy loved her, trained her, and taught her how to be an exceptional teacher horse. Liz thrived.
But then Amy's life changed, and so did Liz's. Liz had to spend more time in a stable facility and she got stressed. Smaller paddocks, low turn out time, and inside a big building was causing her to shut down emotionally. Some of the trauma of her past made her have odd behaviors, lose weight and generally go down hill physically and emotionally.
Amy and Liz needed help. So, Liz came to live at the farm. Lots of food, friends and time to just be a horse. To heal at her own pace. To be free to interact or not. To just be a horse.
It is amazing to see how she chooses people to interact with. She knows trauma and she knows safety. She knows how to hold space and trust that the person she is with is the person that needs her.

We are still hosting the March PD Day on Friday March 20th.

The 4 Day Day Camp is happening March 24 - 27 and all the schools have the same days off for this!!!👏
