👉🏼Here’s why…
Think that “click” in your jaw is harmless? Think again.
The joint that connects your lower jaw to your skull (TMJ) contains a small disc that acts as a cushion, allowing smooth movement.
When you hear a click, it usually means that disc has shifted out of its normal position.
⁉️So what happens if you ignore it?
• Disc damage (point of no return):
Constant pressure can wear it down over time. Once damaged, it doesn’t regenerate.
• Bone-on-bone contact:
Without that cushion, the bones begin to rub against each other, leading to pain and structural changes.
• Jaw locking:
The displaced disc can interfere with movement, making it difficult — or even impossible — to open your mouth.
✅But here’s the good news…
If you can still hear the click, there’s still time to act. ✨
You don’t have to live with that tension.
With a proper TMJ evaluation, we can identify the cause and prevent long-term damage.
Don’t wait for it to get worse.
