Change is not comfortable.
When I first started going to the gym-I stayed at the back of the class
I had no idea what I was doing
I was NOT confident
I really would have felt best staying home…
But I stayed with it
Over time-the discomfort shifted
This shift is not just going the gym
It is also…
Going for a walk rather than tv at night
Eating something better when it might be easier not to
Saying no to the wine
Drinking water instead
Scheduling self care time in without guilt
Being HONEST about how you really feel
It all feels hard at the beginning
Most people take this as a sign to stop
It is not…this is how change works
The gym became one of my happy spaces
You can find yours too!
You can either stay the same or get curious
