November 19 is National Day of Remembrance for road crash victims.

Today, we honour and remember those who have lost their lives or been injured in preventable road crashes, and the loved ones whose lives have been forever changed. In B.C. from 2019 to 2023, there was an average of 288 fatal victims per year involved in motor vehicle crashes. Speeding, impairment, and distracted driving remain the leading causes.

Today, the BCMSA is delivering another Return to Work and Stay at Work workshop presented by workplace mental health expert Diana Vissers.

We are grateful to the City of Parksville for hosting this session. Effective and programs are an essential part of any organization’s health and safety strategy. They support a smooth return-to-work process for employees, help keep staff at work whenever possible, and reduce operational costs.

We’re looking forward to learning from Diana as she shares her valuable expertise with our participants.
