This week the crew was a bit reduced in number but not energy when we met for our Professional Development session. 🤓📕

Each physio took a turn presenting a case study, a research article or a therapy tool they had recently discovered and wanted to share with the team. 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫

This all adds to our ability to collaborate and further help our patients get back to doing what they want, or need, to do! 🤸

Pets of Pure Form Friday is our favorite day!!
This is Miso, Dan and Arleigh’s kitten who is almost 6 months old! He was adopted from their favourite pumpkin patch

Miso is pretty relaxed and cuddly except when he gets the zoomies and bounces off the walls around 6–8 pm!

Nerd cat trivia from Dan: cats have free-floating collar bones so they can narrow their shoulders to sneak into tight places, can jump 6× their length, have 6 lumbar vertebrae (humans have 5), can “taste smells”, and have 200 million smell receptors (humans have 5 million). If they were humans they would be superheroes!

New physio alert 🚨🚨🚨Meet Josh! Josh graduated from the UBC Physical Therapy program and takes a keen interest in sport and chronic injuries.
Josh is from the Lower Mainland and has played multiple sports growing up, mainly hockey, and has a strong passion for working with hockey-related injuries. Josh’s interests have led him to work with the UBC Thunderbirds Men’s Ice Hockey team, which he continues today to pursue his interests and help the team’s performance. No matter your goal or interest, he is motivated to find the source of the problem and work together to find the best ways to solve the issue.

What better way to start off your Friday than to see some cuties!! For today’s pets of pure form we have our PCC Kaitlin’s dogs and kitty!

First we have Otis, who we rescued as a puppy (with his late sister, Izzy) and he is now approaching 11! Although he may be very reactive to other animals, he is the biggest sucker when it comes to humans inside our home. He is a dramatic boy that requires attention at all times and will tell you all about it!

Next is crazy Maisy and she is 3 years old. This girl does not have a mean bone in her body. She loves agility and of course a sweet treat. From listening to Otis, she has learned to also be very vocal.

And I have this very sweet kitty named Pumpkin who showed up as a stray on Halloween 14 years ago. He loves to sunbathe and even knows to look both ways before crossing the street!

Pets of Pure Form is back! Meet Tesla & Nova, our 86 Ave PCC Briana’s mini dachshunds.

Tesla is a 4-year-old silver dapple with a big personality and a love for eggs and her lamb chop. Her nicknames are Tess/Tessy and Moo Moo Girl because she looks like a mini cow. 🐄
Nova is a 1-year-old black and tan with an even bigger attitude - what’s hers is hers and what’s Tesla’s is also hers. She’s a huge snuggler who waves her paw for attention. Her nicknames are Novie and Grumble Guts because she grumbles a LOT.
You can catch the duo either ripping around the house with zoomies together or sharing their fave heated blanket.

Fun fact: Briana and her husband have matching tattoos of them 🥹

Pure Form Pet Friday!!! We’re back and ready to roll out the weekend with some furry friends. Meet our RMT Michael’s cute cats! 🐈
First cat is named Daisy 🌼- she’s a female ragdoll and she’s very nice, loves cuddles.
Second one is Lily - she is a female ragdoll and she’s nice but affraid of everyone but Michael. She meows a lot!
They are both from the same breeder and they are just 2.5 years old. 🐱😻😽😸
So cute!! Are you team woof or team meow?! 😻

Next up on Pets of Pure Form, meet Casey, Erika’s dog!
Casey is 7 years old. Her middle name is Stripey because she was born with a white stripe on her snout. She loves the idea of going for a walk but doesn’t really like walking. She is the best behaved dog ever. You’ll never meet a sweeter, more docile Labrador. She’s just the best!
