What a Celebration! 💎

Our 60th Diamond Anniversary Celebration was truly one to remember for the entire LMH community!

Together, we raised an incredible $120,000 net, with proceeds supporting the modernization and accessibility renovations of Pickwick Apartments.

A heartfelt thank you to the 331 guests who joined us at Mastronardi Estate Winery to celebrate this special milestone. The energy, laughter, and connection in the room made for an unforgettable evening.

Because of our generous sponsors, 100% of the event proceeds will directly benefit our residents:

Gabriele's Floor & Home Furnishings
Gualtieri Mechanical Inc.
H & H Wood Products
Hub International
Kindred Credit Union

To the individual donors, anonymous donors, and sponsors thank you for supporting LMH residents in such a meaningful way!

Our heartfelt thanks to Jessica Wharram of Wharram’s Jewellery for designing and donating a stunning three-carat diamond necklace in honour of her grandmother, a beloved former LMH resident.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the silent auction, and to Anita Enns for her incredible generosity in curating and donating so many wonderful items throughout the year.

The live auction was a true highlight of the night thanks to our dynamic auctioneer, Marty Unholzer Auctions, and the amazing bidders who kept the excitement high!

With gratitude, we thank:
Mike Driedger (Mike’s Foods) – for donating a private in-home chef experience for eight
Century 21 | Dante Butera – for limousine service to the Red Wings vs. Maple Leafs game
Ruth Driedger, Artist – for the live art exhibit and her beautiful “Waiting for Grandpa” painting, which raised us $900!
Elvira Brown – for donating a dozen zwiebach, which raised an incredible $950!

A special thank you to Jayne Latam and Janet Dick for your many years of dedicated volunteering, you add sparkle to every LMH event, and your special touch will be missed in the years to come.

Celebrating Brad and Lynn Bailey: A Gift of Music, Community, and Compassion

When Brad and Lynn Bailey moved into the Gardens Condos at the Leamington Mennonite Home, they were thrilled to find a place that truly felt like home—close to friends, surrounded by beautiful, walkable neighbourhood paths, and supported by nearby medical care when needed. Since settling in, they’ve become an integral part of our campus community, embodying the spirit of warmth, generosity, and connection that defines LMH. We are profoundly grateful for their ongoing kindness and involvement.

This year, Brad and Lynn made a generous donation toward LMH’s priority needs, helping us continue to enhance the quality of life for all who live here. In addition, they have committed to beginning monthly donations in 2026, a meaningful pledge that will help our organization grow and thrive for the benefit of the 273 residents who call LMH home. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you, Brad and Lynn, for your compassion, your trust, and your steadfast belief in our residents-first mission.

But their generosity doesn’t stop there. Each month, Brad and Lynn, along with their brother Brian, bring joy and energy to our home through their lively musical performances. Their band fills the halls with upbeat melodies and cherished tunes that get residents tapping their feet, singing along, and even dancing. These gatherings are more than entertainment—they are moments of connection, laughter, and community spirit that brighten the lives of everyone who attends.

The Baileys remind us that generosity takes many forms: through gifts, through time, and through the sharing of joy. Their music and their giving hearts bring life to LMH, making our home not just a place to live—but a place to truly belong.

A Community of Care

The Leamington Mennonite Home & Apartments is a faith-centered, charitable, non-profit organization supported by eight Mennonite Brethren Churches in our community. Founded in 1964 in response to the growing needs of seniors, our community of care provides holistic care and support to seniors and the frail elderly. Our Home is the only not-for-profit Home in Southwestern Ontario.

We seek to provide the best possible individualized care to all of our residents. Our community of care enables seniors and the frail elderly to age in one retirement community that can respond to all their needs. This is a visionary model - our organization consists of the Long Term Care Home, Retirement Residence, Homeview and Pickwick Apartments, Gardens Condominiums, and Heritage Townhouses.
