Seriously, what a waste of our sweet time, precious energy, and infinite potential - yet, I completely understand why we do it 🖤

Societal pressures can feel HEAVY.

• Concerned you don’t look like that person? You’re not supposed to! You’re uniquely beautiful exactly as you are.

• Think that person is more successful than you? By what markers? Success is quantified subjectively and feelings of success are different for everyone.

• Worried you should be further along in life by now? Says who!? Life is lived on your own terms on your own timeline, regardless of what “they” say.

• Wondering what everyone thinks about you? It’s none of your business! Everyone sees life and people through their own perceptions based on their personal belief systems.

💣 THE ULTIMATE TRUTH:
• You are beautiful and made of unconditional love.
• You’re allowed to define what success means to you.
• You’re exactly where you need to be right now.
• What others think of you is a reflection of them.

Today, on International Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength, wisdom, and spirit of women everywhere. It’s a reminder to honor the sacred humanity in every woman—to protect her safety, respect her voice, and create spaces where she can live, learn, and explore with curiosity and courage.

Celebrating women is not only about recognition, but about responsibility. Responsibility to uplift one another, to challenge systems that silence or harm, and to nurture a world where every woman can grow in her own spiritual power and purpose.

May today inspire deeper respect, mindful action, and a shared commitment to ensuring that every woman—in all seasons of herself—is seen, valued, and safe.

Have you heard of the 2 Mountain Metaphor? 🏔️🏔️

Some people may believe that their therapist has life all figured out—but it’s not like that, because you see, as you’re climbing your mountain, I’m also climbing mine.

From where I am on my mountain, I can see things on yours that you cannot—like if you follow a certain route you’ll encounter an impossible overhang, but I also see different routes you can take.

But, on my mountain, I am still climbing too, still making mistakes and learning from them as I go.

So, we are the same.

All of us climbing mountains. All of us getting better as we go, better at appreciating the journey—and that is what therapy is all about.

Humans helping other humans.

I suppose a metaphor like this can also relate to parenting—we may not have all the answers but we do have a certain level of acquired insight to help guide.

May you find those to work with whom you feel safe, supported and truly seen.

And may you gift yourself some grace when it comes to parenting your kiddos.

UNCONDITIONAL SELF-LOVE 🖤

This year I AM NO LONGER picking myself apart in photos.

As much as I love myself, and I’ve come such a long way from my mean, self-critical teenage days - I notice I still judge myself in certain corners of my life.

An old habit hooked in when I looked at this picture and I suddenly thought to myself, my hair looks silly, I look cross-eyed, I’m starting to look old… (do you do this too?)

I caught myself with gentle compassion and said, “I love you and we’re not doing that anymore.”

So, in case you need the reminder too:

• We’re all beautiful.
• Aging is a blessing.
• Our uniqueness is a sacred gift.
• Laugh lines show a life well lived.
• We’re not meant to appear 18 forever.
• Wisdom is acquired through life experience.

🖤 From now on, I AM ONLY speaking words of love & kindness into my photos. In fact, this is a wonderful form of energy healing - a way to gift yourself unconditional love!

As the years pass, may we all be gentle with our sweet hearts.

• If the Snake strengthened our inner foundation, the Horse challenges us to express it.

• Working skillfully with this transition means resisting the urge to swing from over-reflection into impulsivity.

• Your soul is supported not by constant striving, but by congruence: when your values, emotions, and behaviors begin to point in the same direction.

• Growth now is less about becoming someone new and more about allowing the person you have been quietly becoming to step into the light.
