Namaste! I just wanted to touch base about teaching yoga this summer! After taking some time off from teaching this spring to focus on my health, I noticed something really fantastic starting to happen- not only was resting a little more making a huge impact on health, but I found I was able to engage with life again in a way that I haven't been able to do since I lost my sister.
Teaching yoga was deeply healing to me when I felt like I lost a part of myself to grief; an anchor to something that felt meaningful, and a way to connect to my community that felt important. This spring, I found that making space to rest also made space for joy again- something I was not anticipating to happen for a long time after losing Jasmine.
Our summer here in Alberta is so brief, and feeling joy again is so precious to me, that I feel I have to honor it fully with my time and presence which means taking a step back from teaching my Sunday class, at least for the time being.
Of course, if you have purchased a 5 or 10 class pass from me, I am happy to reimburse you for the number of sessions you have remaining, or you are welcome to use the dollar value towards my lash extension or reiki services that I offer from my home during the week outside of my working hours at the clinic.
Lastly I would like to thank you for coming to my classes and sharing your time and energy with me. Seeing you all grow in your yoga practice has been so special, and such a gift. I hope you all have a fantastic summer full of surprising joy like me.
