A waning moon is the phase after the full moon, when the light begins to soften and slowly fade night by night.

Unlike our full moon walks, where we gather as the moon rises, this time we’ll meet with the moon already resting high overhead… quiet, steady, and full in a different way.

As we walk, you’ll notice it gently fading into the morning sky.

Not disappearing all at once, but dissolving gently into the light of day.

The waning moon carries a different rhythm.

Less energy, less outward pull.
More release. More reflection. More space to let go of what no longer needs to be carried.

Sometimes it hits after you do the new thing.

You say no.
You don’t over-explain.
You choose yourself.

And later that day, you feel it.
Heavy.
Quiet.
A little sad.

Not because the choice was wrong.
But because you realize how long you went without it.

There can be grief in finally stopping.
Grief for how much you carried.
Grief for how normal that used to feel.

That doesn’t cancel the growth.
It often comes with it.

If you want something simple to try when that heaviness shows up:

Pause.
Put one hand on your chest or your stomach.
Take one slow breath.

Then ask yourself,
“What did this part of me protect for so long?”

You don’t need an answer right away.
Just notice what shifts when you ask.
