Chinese New Year at Søle
Welcoming the Year of the Fire Horse
This week, we welcome the Chinese New Year and the powerful Year of the Fire Horse, a symbol of strength, movement, independence, and bold new beginnings.
While our roots are Nordic, the Vikings were great travelers and traders, journeying far beyond Scandinavia through ancient trade routes that reached toward Central Asia and the Silk Road, connecting cultures, goods, and stories across the world. Even then, the North was never isolated, it was part of a living, global exchange.
And at the heart of Nordic life stood the horse, a trusted companion, a symbol of endurance and freedom, and still celebrated today in the beloved Swedish Dala horse, a sign of protection, good fortune, and home.
So as East meets North, we pause to honour this beautiful overlap of traditions:
🔥 Fire for renewal and courage.
🐎 Horse for strength and forward motion.
🌿 Ritual for grounding and intention.
At Søle, we believe wellness is both ancient and universal — carried through time, across borders, and into the ways we care for ourselves today.
As we step into this new lunar year, may it bring you:
- brave beginnings
- steady energy
- and the courage to follow what lights you up
From our hearth to yours, Happy Chinese New Year 🧧
May this Year of the Fire Horse carry you gently and boldly forward.
