We are proud to celebrate and invest in the bright futures of Leduc’s outstanding young citizens, and believe it’s important to inspire and empower positive, community-minded behaviours in youth across our city. Last year, we recognized two individuals, Jerome and Saxony, as and celebrated them and their achievements at VolunteerFest in September.

Leduc RCMP and Leduc Fire Services are joining forces to promote literacy and community connection through reading at the Leduc Public Library.👮👩‍🚒

READ with the RCMP is held on the first Thursday of every month and invites families with children to meet local first responders in a relaxed, educational setting. The initiative aims to build positive relationships between families and emergency services personnel while encouraging a love of reading.📚

“It’s a great chance to demonstrate to Leduc how first responder agencies do more than just respond to calls. We work together to make our community a better place to live.” said Cst. Stephen Curtiss of the Leduc RCMP.

The free community event provides an opportunity for families to engage with police officers outside of emergency situations, building trust and understanding between first responders and the community they serve.

Families interested in attending can visit the Leduc Public Library located at 2 Alexandra Park, City of Leduc on the first Thursday of each month at 10:00 AM.
