🚫 Ice conditions are unstable

With winter here, we’re reminding everyone to stay off stormwater ponds. They may look frozen, but the water underneath is always moving. This results in thin and unpredictable ice.

If someone falls through, call 911 immediately.

Stormwater ponds aren’t like natural lakes or outdoor rinks. They’re part of the City’s infrastructure and help manage runoff from rain and melting snow. Please chat with your kids about the dangers of going on the ice, and keep pets close to prevent them from wandering onto frozen surfaces.

Leduc's elementary School Resource Officer is encouraging safe driving this holiday season through a liquor bag campaign where Leduc’s Grade 5 students learn about the impact of responsible driving decisions. They decorate paper bags, which are provided to local liquor stores for use during December as a thoughtful reminder for customers to plan ahead and make safe transportation decisions.

🎄 Happy holidays, Leduc! Please drive responsibly.

Your neighbourhood. Your voice. Your future.

The Land Use Bylaw affects you now and into the future because it defines:
- Where you can build a new garage or garden suite
- Whether a coffee shop, retail store, or other type of business can open down the street
- How your neighbourhood evolves and modernizes

And much more. Take the exploring possibilities survey and help guide our future. Survey ends Jan. 16, 2026.
