There is a new tea shop in town, it is called
Gogo’s tea and health but it’s not any ordinary tea shop and one that is a must to go visit. Preet, the owner not only specializes in different teas to help your ailments, she also hosts meditation classes, and soon to be yoga classes. I went to a meditation class that she hosted and quite honestly I have never been able to quiet my mind enough to meditate. However, I found that it was quite easy with her methods to quiet my mind and just go with it. Preet story is quite amazing, after being diagnosed with a disease she cured herself with different teas. That diagnosis and subsequently healed, led her on a journey to where she’s at now. For a year, she travelled all over India and the Middle East and visited what’s known as the Garden of Assom. A vast field of teas. Look it up it’s quite fascinating.  Preet tea’s are perfectly blended with different herbs and flowers to promote health and wellness for different ailments. She is so knowledgable and is very meticulous into what goes into her teas. Definitely worth checking out her store as well as her meditation classes.

Recently, I’ve heard conversations regarding people teaching Reiki and these conversations have me wondering if some of these teachers are qualified. Hopefully this is not the case.
I want to be clear on some points. To be able to teach any levels of Reiki you have to have your masters certification. That usually takes about a year to get. Only in the master class, do you learn how to do an attunement, in each level the teacher does an attunement on the students, one on one in a separate space from the others, which allows them to be comfortable with any reaction they may have after the attunment. The attunements attune the students to a higher energy. The reason it does take time is that after the student learns that particular level and has the attunement, changes occur, mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and you need the time to adjust to these changes, which is also why you should not be taught all levels at once, with the exception of third and master levels. I believe you do not get the full benefit of learning reiki any other way. This is the way I was taught over 20 years ago and I believe it to be the proper way. I think it’s important for people to be aware of the process. Learning about this healing modality should be about giving people lifelong tools, and not all about making money.

Charlie Kirk, who was he? I have no idea. I have never heard of him until the other day when the Internet is flooded, Facebook is flooded with news of this man’s death. All the keyboard Warriors are out in full force, some saying, he deserved it some saying rest in peace. He was a great man, some are saying, he threatened their life some saying, he knew the consequences of his opinions. What a sad world this has become, they should shut down the Internet and let people be in peace, sure it has its place. I don’t know what his opinions were. I have watched a little bit of the videos here and there trying to understand how and why this could’ve happened. With all the opinions out there and all the hate I can’t do it anymore. All I know is a woman has lost her life partner, kids have lost their father, because of what … voicing their opinion. In the midst of all this chaos out there try to remember that you can be a change by not getting involved in all this hate by letting your light shine through compassion and love for your fellow human beings as hard as it may be sometimes

Let’s talk Bach flowers. A lot of you have heard of the rescue remedy, and some of you have taken it during times of trauma, or used it when transplanting plants. What you maybe don’t know is there’s 38 different remedies and each one puts a negative emotion back into the positive balancing your emotions. For at least a decade, people and professionals are realizing that your emotions has everything to do with your physical. If you break down the word disease, it is. Dis-ease. Let’s face it. Bach flower remedies are a godsend. It is safe enough for kids does not interact with other medications and has been around since 1935 when it was discovered by Doctor Bach, it is all natural. I have had kids take it when they are angry when they have no self-confidence when when they are afraid, and they have actually asked to come for more as it makes them feel better more in control of their emotions and able to handle those situations with more ease.
