It’s been quite a while since I’ve done an introduction.

Hi, I’m Kelly. Outside of work, I try to live a normal life.

Three kids, two dogs, 1 happy marriage, and the ever present calling to be in the mountains is what keeps me going.

I did so many things “wrong” when I started as a massage therapist.

I tell anyone I meet now that if I could go back in time 16 years, I would never have started my own business.

I really believe that it’s not meant for everyone, and if you’re really hesitant and unsure, or your feeling like imposter syndrome is getting at you, these are things that ARE going to get in the way.

I’m talking from personal experience here, but when I first started, I should not have begun my own business.

Nothing exposes you more like running a practice on your own. You either have to figure it out or get out.

And the sad reality that most business owners don’t even make it to their 10 year mark is what bothers me.

Because when our businesses struggle, inevitably we end up serving our clients poorly.

Our clients suffer with us.

After a bad massage, our clients are the ones are afraid to try massage again when they’ve already had that negative experience.

And when you feel like your business is failing, you feel like something is broken inside of you too.

Self-worth should not be tied to running a business, but it’s so hard to separate the two! How could we not? A business can literally be an extension of yourself.

So that’s where I come in.

I don’t tell students that I have it all figured out. But I am going to tell you the most honest viewpoints on your business.

I chose to “figure it out” rather than “get out” of the industry and have spent thousands of dollars on additional education related to running a proper wellness business, and my own personal development.

This year in 2026 I have launched business strategizing services.

We’ll begin with just a chat. Ongoing help after that starts at the cost of a 1 hour massage.

5 Techniques You’ll Learn in This Course

When therapists hear “hot stone massage” they usually imagine relaxation treatments.

This course is not that.

Remedial Stone Massage, created by Breakthrough Massage Academy, focuses on treating real muscular problems.

Here are a few things we cover in the training.

1. Therapeutic stone pressure

You will learn how to use stones to deliver deep pressure without overworking your hands.

This is incredibly helpful for areas like the upper back and shoulders.

2. Muscle energy techniques

We combine stones with MET techniques to release tight muscle groups more effectively.

3. Active and passive stretching

You will learn how to use stones during stretching work to help tissue release more easily.

4. Fascial and lymphatic support

Stones can be used for slower, fascial based work and to assist gentle lymphatic movement.

We also work with hot, warm, and cold temperatures to influence tissue response.

5. Full body stone application

You will learn a complete treatment approach including focused work for the upper back, neck, and face.
