On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (2025), we pause to honour the survivors of Canada’s residential school system, and mourn the deep, intergenerational trauma it caused Indigenous communities.

As health-care professionals on Treaty 7 Territory, we remain committed to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action—especially those focused on health care ( #18–24).
