Painite is a stone of passion, empowerment and motivation ruled by Fire & Earth connecting to the root Chakra primarily, and is a great stone of alignment for grounding into all meridians.

This stone is exclusively found in Myanmar and prior to the year 2001, was the most rare and unique stone in our known world, with only 3 specimens, the first being housed at the British Museum. A deep red with brown, this gemstone was found again in the mid 2000s, offering limited access to the market of collectors.

With very few opportunities to connect with this mysterious stone, it has been suggested that it is best called upon in times of transformation and in meditative practices, May this stone remind you that your soul is just as rare and beautiful as it is.

It's that time of year again! LPIRG & CCC are happy to announce our 4th annual advocacy conference, Art as Advocacy.

A gathering where creativity becomes catalyst, and where art is celebrated not only as expression, but as a force for liberation, healing, and social transformation inviting attendees to explore the powerful intersections of creative practice and justice work.

This full day event, happening March 7th, features two keynote speakers, eight hands-on workshops, food, fun, and exploration!

Attendance is FREE for all UofL students, $5.00 for community students (Polytech & Public Schools), $10.00 for any Educator, and $20.00 for Community Members at large.

Good morning, Monday ✨

Let us all take a deep breath, ground into the heart of Mother Earth, and listen to the wisdom held there, allowing the love and compassion to envelop us now. Remember & discover why we are here. With eyes closed breath in love, and release with your breath all energies that no longer serves, releasing them back to source gratefully.

Open your eyes and let your intuition guide you, choosing a card and stone that calls your attention today.

#1) Card no. 25 Larimar - Water/ocean - Throat Chakra

This stone is telling you to let it all wash away; allow the waves to lap up the energy hanging around you, and pull it back out into the wide ocean waters to allow some space to be had within.

Relax, close your eyes, and surrender control to gain peace. Stillness on the shores as the water clears the conduit you are, so that when the time comes you are clear to act. Crystal clarity will come walking along the banks edge, so get into nature and let yourself feel your way through the week. Anytime you feel lost, get outside of yourself and breathe.

#2) Card no. 40 Tourmaline - Smudging - Root Chakra

Things are sticking at work and while you walk through your day, make sure that when you arrive home to your safe zone that you clear away any stagnant sticky icks that have hopped along for the ride. You're such a power source with your light that it's easy for others to get stuck on you, but it is not your responsibility to feed them. Cleanse and clear, spritz, smudge with smoke, or shower it all off - just make sure you are clearing it with intentions so as to keep boundaries strong.

It's easier to judge others with the sludge of the day holding you down, so to free yourself and embody compassion initiate a ritual clearing at the end of your work day to keep old vibes at bay, building a stronger community connection through honouring your self.

Today we consult the Eternal Crystals Oracle Cards by Jade Sky.

This week I asked the cards to show us a message that will assist us with ease this week, as we transition through the astral energies unfolding on Earth.

Saturn conjunct Neptune in Aries, Pisces is in the Sun sign of Aquarius on Wednesday, and the partial solar eclipse on Tuesday.

These changes are a return to our true paths, and new as they are, we arrive with our Soul's experience intact, regulating the beating of our hearts with this new Fire Horse year.

Our Story

Visual Artist & Tattoo Artisit It's me, Sarah! I have been a long time practicing visual artist, with 5 years in the post secondary Fine Arts program at the University, and an extensive history in the tattoo industry as a support staff member, collector, and enthusiast. My apprenticeship was completed under Stevie Kunimoto here at Jaded Body Arts last year, and I am now a first year tattoo artist! Alongside, I will be continuing my work as a custom artist for your fine art needs!
