Nobody warned me it would feel like this.
Not the beautiful hard — though it's that too.
The other kind.
The 3am where you're feeding your baby and crying and not totally sure why.
The guilt that shows up uninvited every time you lose your patience, scroll your phone, or catch yourself missing who you used to be.
The rage that surprises you. The loneliness in a room full of people who love you.
Here's what I want you to know: you are not failing. You are not broken. You are a whole person moving through one of the most profound identity shifts a human being can experience — with almost no support and almost no language for what it actually feels like.
The gap between what you expected motherhood to be and what it actually is? That gap is real. And it deserves more than "cherish every moment."
It deserves space. Honesty. Someone who isn't going to panic when you tell them the truth. That's what I do.
What has been the hardest part of postpartum for you? My DMs are open — or there's a link in my bio to book a free discovery call whenever you're ready. No pressure. Just an open door. 💗 Share this with a mom that could use these reminders or save for days when you need it to look back on. If you’d like my 3 a.m. pep talk for new moms sent over to you, comment “pep talk."
