This little guy imaged great during the 3D scan at 36 weeks! I wouldn’t recommend coming that late in the pregnancy because it could be really crowded in there, but in this case worked great because he was looking up and there was amniotic fluid in front of the face!
So…it’s never too late to try! The good thing is that the facial features are well developed by 36 weeks

This is a realistic 3D image with the umbilical cord in front of the very cute face!! Look at those lips 👄 We try to eliminate structures in front of the face but sometimes it’s not possible if they are too close. Thanks Mom for sharing …

Here we have a beautiful newborn baby girl!! Even though her 3D scan wasn’t perfect we can definitely see similarities!

Thanks to Mom for sharing this side-by-side comparison. So adorable and look at all that hair! We do see hair on the 2D ultrasound image. More common to see hair on the back of the head, but in some cases we can even see it on the top!

I ask Mom to try to put her newborn in a similar position as they were in during the 3D ultrasound scan. There’s no denying those lips are cute 🥰

Ever heard the saying? “ don’t shoot the messenger”
… well I’m only the messenger.

I’ve been scanning pregnant women for many years, even 2 generations in the same family unit! Most folks are wanting to see the s*x of their baby, and I’m proud to say that when I’ve said I’m sure about whether it’s a BOY or GIRL I’ve never been wrong! Before 20 weeks I give a percentage as to my confidence level. I even offer free scans to confirm. In other words I NEVER guess. I use quality equipment and I’m confident when I say that I doubt if anyone has more experience than I do.
Anyway if I’m confronted with giving parents the news that they are having the 4th boy for example, loving parents take it in their stride.

Here we have a great side-by-side comparison! Mom took the time to place her new son in a similar position as he was at the 3D viewing! We did an extra visit with this little guy to make sure it was still a boy 🤣 also allowing a second chance to see the face! And look at those lips♥️ adorable!
