Our focus is to ensure that you are taking the most appropriate medication to treat your various conditions with the goal of overcoming the illness. We have the ability to work together with physicians face to face to help improve your overall state of health.

We will be starting flu shots on Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Please call in for an appointment. If there is interest in any other vaccines, shingles, Covid, RSV, tetanus, give us a call and let’s look at the history and make a plan.

Woods dispensary patients: we are taking appointments for the upcoming flu season. Starting October 16, we will have access to flu shots for seniors as well as those not of the senior variety!! We also have moderna vaccine updates for those so inclined.

We have been told by AHS that we will have 90 doses of Pfizer vaccine on Wednesday. Please check the alberta covid19 website to ensure you are eligible, and call to make an appointment.
As we are required to use these doses in less than 120 hours, we will likely be taking appointments later in the evening and perhaps the weekend.
We are also required to prioritize 1st doses at this time.

The province has opened up the Astra Zeneca vaccine to all those 40-64 years with no major medical conditions starting Tuesday April 20.
Please call to book your appointment.
We look forward to meeting with you.
I’ll be getting mine then too!

We now have the Astra Zeneca vaccine available for patients.
Presently we can give to anyone 55-64 yrs old with no major medical conditions.
Please call to book an appointment.
We have spots available for 8 people this afternoon!!

Just wanted to put a post out regarding then covid-19 vaccination options. Our pharmacy has applied to be a vaccinating site. We haven’t heard, though expect to be approved.
As soon as we know when vaccine will be available for us to distribute, we will be in contact with all our patients turning 75 years older this year and older to book appointments.
You do have the option to contact AHS and book an appointment sooner if you wish.
We are hoping to have this service available within the next 2 weeks.

In the meantime, exercise, rest, take 2000 iu of vitamin D3, and live your life as best as you can.

Hey folks, just checking in to let you know that we have updated our website. It looks great.
I just wanted to encourage everyone to become a bit more physically active.
If we’ve learned anything about the data from the Covid 19 experience, we have seen that folks with more medical conditions (co-morbidities) do less well at surviving this illness.
Just adding 30-60 minutes of heart rate elevating exercise 4-5 days a week can make a big difference in helping decrease some of those risk factors that are leading the mortality chart.
Obviously, I am not recommending going from 0-100 today, but I would recommend starting where you are and to increase your time or intensity by no more than 10% per week.
Please discuss this change with your physician and pharmacist, but let’s be proactive at taking back our health and wellness!
I will be putting some recommendations on the page from time to time.
Cheers and please report back in what you are doing to encourage the rest of us.

We would like to thank the community for coming in and getting their flu shots this year. We did take appointments for the first 2 weeks and now can offer drop in service. Please call ahead to ensure we have a spot available for you if you haven’t been able to get yours yet.
We also have nasal spray for the needle nervous.

Wood”s dispensary will be accepting appointments for the 2020 flu shot season.
Please contact the pharmacy to schedule an appointment. This way we can ensure minimal patient contact outside their cohorts and allow for safety for patients and staff.
