We offer a eucalyptus steam room, a Finnish cedar sauna, therapeutic massage, hydromassage, pedicures, facials, lashes, eyebrow microblading, waxing, sugaring, and a relaxation lounge. All products applied to our skin absorb into our blood stream and internal organs, therefore products containing toxic chemicals will affect our overall health. Some chemical ingredients cause hormone imbalances and tax our kidneys and our liver.

A Gentle Reminder This Season

We just want to take a quick moment to connect with you during this season. There’s so much excitement, joy, and celebration happening all around and we love seeing it. But we also want to acknowledge that, for some, this time of year can feel overwhelming, stressful, and even a little tumultuous.

At Pure Spa, we have the tremendous privilege of caring for some of the most amazing humans (we might be just a little biased 😉). Over the years, we’ve learned that the holidays bring up a mix of emotions and that’s completely okay. With those mixed emotions can come physical stress that impacts how your body feels, reminding us how closely our emotional and physical wellbeing are connected.

Maybe this time of year doesn’t include extensive travel plans or large festive parties or maybe it does. Either way, we’re here if you’re looking for some space to just regroup, reconnect, and find a little calm amidst it all.

Is it worth it to continue waxing during the winter months?

We are often asked if there are any real benefits of continuing waxing or sugaring during the winter months and the answer is yes!

1. Regular Waxing/sugaring weakens the hair follicles - doing this on a regular basis helps keep the hair from growing back by consistently weakening the root of the hair, so by taking a break you give the root a chance to grow thicker and stronger.

2. The more often you get waxing or sugaring done the less it hurts. The hair follicles become damaged with every wax/sugaring so the hair comes in thinner and most would agree it is less painful. By waiting for the summer months for you wax/sugaring you might find your tolerance for the discomfort has lessened.

3. Exfoliate- Waxing and sugaring helps to exfoliate the skin which in turn makes keeping your skin hydrated much easier. Consistent exfoliation of the dead skin allows deeper absorption of all of the nutrient rich oils and lotions that you are putting on your body.

4. Feel Great- The winter blues can be hard to avoid however by maintaining those selfcare appointments that keep you feeling good and that get you out of hibernation mode can definitely keep the blues away! Enjoy feeling good all year round with your routine.
