Did you know our Clinical Leader has personal exoerience with dementia?
Along with 21 years of professional experience hands on with seniors, she was also a caregiver to her mother who had a rapidly progressing dementia diagnosis. Experiencing as a daughter, not a nurse, the reality of this disease, through the initial symptoms, an official diagnosis, navigating the system, dealing with her moms resistance to care, enacting the personal directive, advocating , respite and end stage Alzhemers, iour clinical leader has not only professional experience but relatable personal experience. This allows us to deeply understand the level of despair and exhaustion you can feel.
If are struggling with a loved one with a dementia diagnosis, not only will the Clinical Leader be able to do the initial assessment but understand how difficult and exhausting this can be and the importance of respite to minimize caregiver burnout. After the initial assessment, a thorough individualized care plan will be tailored with the family to ensure your loved one has his/her needs met safely with different ways to engage them and utilize their quality of life. A caregiver will then be matched to your loved one to help establish connection, consistency and trust. This trust will allow you, the loved one, to be able to rest, leave the house and just have a break knowing your loved one is in safe, capable, compassionate hands.
