I love the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. Anyone else love those books (and quote them regularly), too? In the books, the number 42 is the "Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything", calculated by an enormous supercomputer named Deep Thought over a period of 7.5 million years. Unfortunately, no one knows what the question is.

I see Tarot in pretty much everything, and that hilarious and existential vignette has always reminded me of the importance of asking the right questions when we read the cards. If we don't know what we're really asking, or really want to know, how can we understand the answer fully? Of course, there is value in opening up to the universe, asking what you need to see right now, but in my experience, that always leads to the specific question that was patiently waiting in the shadows.
