Join us in partnership with Ampere for a 4-week Tech Lab program. Tech Lab is a hands-on, station-based program that immerses students in coding and STEAM exploration. Across four, 1-hour sessions, participants will rotate through themed stations—Art & Design, Robots, Treasures, and Mazes, and Music & Sound—using technology not typically found in typical classrooms, such as Ozobots, Dash, Bee Bots, and Makey Makey. Each station encourages learners to experiment, explore, and bring ideas to life through coding, and design.

These visuals bring together symbols of the 3 Indigenous groups across Canada:

🔸the eagle for First Nations,
🔸the narwhal for Inuit, and
🔸the beaded flower for the Métis.

🟠At the centre is a circle which symbolizes unity and the spirit of reconciliation, while the pathway running through it represents the reconciliation journey.

The stars symbolize the children who never returned home from residential schools. The orange colour represents truth-telling and healing. 🧡

🧡 Every Child Matters 🧡

Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we wear our orange shirts to honour the children who never came home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities.

As a children’s mental health agency, we recognize the deep and lasting impact colonial policies continue to have on Indigenous Peoples’ mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

🧠 We are committed to listening, learning, and standing in solidarity.
📚 We are committed to truth before reconciliation.
🧡 We are committed to creating culturally safe, trauma-informed spaces where healing is possible.

Today is a day of reflection. A day of action. A day to say: Every Child Matters.

“World Su***de Prevention Day 2025 is a call to action: for a fullay funded National Su***de Prevention Strategy, for Indigenous-led and culturally safe approaches, for centering lived experience and for changing the narrative on su***de from one of silence and stigma to hope and connection.

With strong federal leadership, community engagement, and public awareness, Canada can save lives and create a future where fewer people feel su***de is their only option—and where help, healing, and hope are always within reach.”
– Andrew Perez, CASP Interim Executive Director
