We want to wish a happy retirement to Karin for 10 years at Adelaide Place in the hair salon! Yesterday was her last day and the resident's will miss seeing her.

Adelaide Place is thrilled to announce the grand opening of Animal Place — our newest, most innovative expansion dedicated exclusively to the comfort and dignity of your beloved senior pets.

After decades of providing exceptional care for the humans in our community, we recognized an undeniable gap in the market: animals deserve retirement too. Animal Place will offer state-of-the-art amenities including memory foam napping suites, daily low-impact bird-watching excursions, on-site grooming and "paw-sicle" spa treatments, and a gourmet dining program featuring rotating menus of premium delicacies and aged cheddar. Our highly trained staff will ensure every resident — whether a distinguished 14-year-old tabby cat, a seasoned tortoise, or a wise and weathered parrot — receives the five-star golden years they have rightfully earned.

Priority waitlist spots are now open. Because at Adelaide Place, we believe everyone deserves to retire in style.

Cayley's Highland Dance Company brought the magic of Highland dancing to life for the residents. We loved to see such talented, local dancers! With the group all dressed in traditional highland costumes, dancing to bagpipe music and performing traditional dances like Highland Fling and The Sword dance.

Cayley also explained the history and significance of each dance, which the residents really appreciated. We all marvelled at the dancer's precision and fast footwork! It was an amazing evening and we will definitely be looking forward to their next visit!

Some highlights from the last few weeks! From Pajama Day, cupcake decorating to live music from Darlene and the Shamrockers. There's always lots to do and not enough time to do it all.

We were to happy to present the cheque for the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes for $2,000 that we raised from Cupcake Day 2026!

It was such a great turnout and we are so proud to support a great organization each year for this event.

Our Executive Chef Mark and chef Austin had a great time at this year's Kawartha Lakes Soupfest. This was their first appearance at Soupfest in many years.

We are proud that Chef Mark reclaimed his 1st Place The Golden Ladle award for the best tasting soup, 1st Place for Judges choice and 3rd place for the Most Unique Soup. 🍲🍲🍲

It was a fantastic event and we will look forward to it next year!
