The Kawartha Lakes Haliburton Ontario Health Team (KLH-OHT) continues to make strong progress in connecting more local residents with a primary care provider.
✔️ 700 new patients are being attached at the Haliburton Highlands Family Health Organization (about 250 to date)
✔️ 100+ new patients are being connected to Nurse Practitioners and Family Physicians in Bobcaygeon, Woodville, and Lindsay
✔️ Providers across the region continue to expand capacity as part of this system-wide effort
If you don’t currently have a primary care provider, registering with Health Care Connect at ontario.ca/healthcareconnect or by calling 1-800-445-1822 is the most important step you can take.
Additionally, you no longer need to de-roster from an existing provider to register—this update ensures everyone actively seeking local care is counted and prioritized appropriately.
Together, we’re building a stronger, more equitable foundation for primary care—one that ensures every resident can access comprehensive, team-based care close to home.
