| Sundays at 9:30 am | Starts April 12- May 17

This 6-week Intermediate Yoga Series is designed for students with an established yoga practice who are curious to explore what’s possible when strength, mobility, and mindful challenge come together.

Classes will be more active and progressive in nature, offering space to refine familiar shapes and explore deeper expressions of movement. You can expect a consistent focus on key postures throughout the series, including Sirsasana (Headstand), Salamba Sarvangasana (Supported Shoulderstand), Urdhva Dhanurasana (Wheel), and Hanumanasana (Splits)—with thoughtful preparation, options, and weekly repetition to build confidence and understanding over time.

This series is not about performing or “nailing” a pose. It’s about learning how to meet your edge with curiosity, self-compassion, and discernment. You’ll be encouraged to listen closely to your body, honour where you are each week, and explore challenge in a way that feels supportive rather than forceful.

An inclusive, judgment-free environment is central to this series. All bodies are welcome, and modifications and alternatives will always be offered. A solid foundation in yoga is recommended, along with comfort moving through a vinyasa-style class.

Come explore strength, steadiness, and possibility—without pressure.

Knot & Rest: Crafting Your Pocket Mala + Yoga Nidra Experience

Join Atheana Brown of Fieldside and Julie of Intentional Juels for a soulful 4-hour creative and restorative retreat.

In this intimate workshop, you’ll handcraft your own 27-bead Pocket Mala using 8mm semi-precious gemstones choosing from 3 designs. Julie will guide you through crystal meanings, design and knotting of your mala. We will end this amazing 3 hrs of creative energy using your completed mala for japa meditation so you can continue confidently on your meditation journey. A Japa Mala meditation is ideal for people with busy minds and even busier lives!

In the last hour we’ll close our time together with a deeply nourishing Yoga Nidra practice guided by Atheana — allowing you to integrate your intention and experience profound rest.

**A minimum of 10 participants is required for this workshop to run. If minimum enrollment is not met, registrants will be notified in advance and fully refunded.**

Meet the Team!

Hello everyone my name is Atheana Brown and I am the ever so proud owner of Fieldside Yoga + Retreats. I still cannot believe some days I have the enormous privilege to own a yoga studio in the beautiful Kawartha Lakes. It was a big labour of love, physical exhaustion and sweet dreams for the five years we jumped through all the hoops. It sure was quite a process.

I feel at times this adventure has me jumping in fully without not much prep. I sure love professional development, making plans, formulating strategy and easing my way into things. All this is new for me from having a small business, figuring out social media, booking system funks, leading a team of amazing humans, feeling like an imposter, feeling not "yogi" enough and feeling always stressed over the economy.

I am an entrepreneur by my family bloodline. I did not realize it before where my destiny was heading. I am ever so glad I look the scary leap into owning my own nutritional business which budded the vision for Fieldside.

Some fun facts about me:
I do not like coffee. Love the smell but no thank you.
I first joined yoga the summer 2006 at the Yoga Loft in Lindsay with a bestie
I have three wild and amazing kids that are 3,5,8
I am working on my emotional regulation still
I do not meditate everyday in this season of life.
My husband and I are highschool sweethearts.
My favourite yoga pose is legs up the wall - anytime of day is time for it.
I love being in nature and love trail walking at Ken Reid Conservation
My love language is food. But gluten free as I have celiac disease.

I want to thank every single person who walks in our door or supports us from a far celebrating the wins. We are a very small, new studio and appreciate you dearly. We know you have many many exceptional movement options locally. Thank you for supporting my dreams, family, the talented teachers + their families.

A fun, playful and active class for all. Move, rest and learn alongside your kids. Build confidence, strengthen bonds, play and connect with your inner child. All levels welcome. Ideally one adult for 1-2 kids. Generally for kids 4+.

This 2-hour workshop is designed to gently introduce you to the foundations of a yoga class in a supportive, no-pressure environment. We’ll take the time to slow things down, explain what’s happening, and answer the questions you may not feel comfortable asking in a regular class.

We’re proud to offer monthly yoga scholarships for individuals who self-identify as part of Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) communities, as well as anyone from marginalized or underrepresented groups — including 2SLGBTQIA+ folks, people with disabilities, and those facing financial or social barriers to wellness.
