Emilee was asked by CNIB to talk about her experience with AI, specifically the RayBan Meta glasses on CBCâs Cross country Check-up. The link to listen is posted below. Sheâs in the first 10 minutes of the interview.
Dr. Liana Cooper has known Emilee ever since her mom brought her in for her first eye exam before the age of 1. By the age of 2, after visits to the Hospital for Sick Children, she had been diagnosed with a genetic retinal condition ( called a cone dystrophy) that would limit her visual development to a level that is considered âlegally blindâ by the definition of best visual acuity. As Liana has watched Emilee grow and mature, it was very obvious that this diagnosis was in no way going to slow her down in any way! After finishing high school, she went to post secondary studies away from home, and now works at various projects, including for the CNIB, and is very involved in personality pageants nationwide, advocating for equal rights for all! She continues to be a force to be reckoned with!
Liana was very excited to introduce and source for Emilee the newest technology in the AI world, the RayBan Meta glasses, which have really changed , in a positive way, how Emilee is able to navigate many situations! We were super excited to hear that she was being spotlighted on the CBC article on the impacts of AI , and excited to share this interview here!
